1 Year RetraCare+ Warranty Extension
The 1-year (one-year) RetraCare+ Warranty extension is available for all 3rd generation and newer Retra Flash strobes, including the Pro Max, Pure, Prime+, Pro X, and Prime X models.
After purchasing the warranty extension, we will contact you to gather essential strobe details, primarily the serial number. If the product was purchased through a reseller or partner shop, we’ll also need the original purchase invoice.
The warranty extension is valid only for products delivered after May 1, 2021. The extended warranty coverage has a maximum duration of 5 years from the date of purchase.
Please note that taxes on the warranty extension will be applied after purchase, once we determine the location of the original strobe purchase.
Warranty Coverage
Warranty Coverage: During the warranty period, Retra UWT will repair any manufacturing defects, such as a sealing issue that could allow water into the main strobe compartment. If a product cannot be repaired (deemed a total loss), Retra UWT will issue a voucher for the residual value of the product. This residual value decreases by 1% of the original purchase price for each month of ownership. For instance, if a product was purchased 36 months ago, its residual value would be 64%, and Retra UWT will provide a voucher for 64% of the original purchase price. The issued voucher is then valid for one year, can be used only in our online shop, and is non-refundable for cash. However, it is transferable, so you may sell or gift the voucher.
Exclusions
Exclusions from Coverage: The RetraCare+ Warranty excludes damage resulting from serious misuse, significant neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, or corrosion. Normal wear and tear, transportation damage (e.g., by airlines), flooding of the battery compartment, cracked lamps, and storage in excessively dry conditions below 40% humidity (such as in dry cabinets) are also not covered. Additionally, improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs will void the warranty. Please note that shipping costs for products sent in for service are not covered under the warranty.
Start & Transferability
Warranty Start Date and Transferability: For items purchased through a reseller, the warranty period begins from the date the product was shipped from our facility to the reseller, regardless of the sale date to the end customer. The RetraCare+ Warranty is associated with the product's serial number, ensuring it remains valid even if the product changes ownership.
If your shipping address is inside the EU tax zone, VAT is added automatically in the checkout procedure. Import duties and customs fees are not included in our price.
